Harry Charles

British showjumper Harry Charles is one of the world’s most exciting young riders and the 22-year-old made his debut in the Olympic showjumping at the Tokyo Games with his horse Romeo 88. Harry is the eldest son of London 2012 Olympic team gold medallist Peter Charles and has been competing in showjumping all his life, enjoying great success on youth teams – winning a handful of European Championship medals – and now as a senior rider. His two sisters Sienna and Scarlett are also following in the family footsteps At the age of 16, Harry beat his father to win the Welsh Masters, becoming the youngest rider to win the title. His Olympic partner Romeo 88 is owned by Ann Thompson and Harry has only been riding the 12-year-old gelding since the start of 2021. Harry Charles (born 15 July 1999) is a British show jumping competitor. He represented Great Britain at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo 2021, competing in individual jumping and team jumping. Charles replaced Holly Smith in the individual competition.
